The Band

Sabrina Nuka - vocals

The Swiss singer, songwriter and vocals teacher, who currently works in New York and Paris, sings in various formations abroad – mostly in the fields of extreme metal and progressive rock. She also enjoys guest appearances and new musical challenges with musicians and bands from other musical genres. In addition, Sabrina regularly gives singing lessons for beginners as well as professional musicians; she offers private lessons and ensemble coaching as well as vocal workshops in collaboration with music schools in Switzerland. Jörg Dittmann - vocals

Starting in a church choir, Jörg found his musical way to Soul and Funk. He played with musicians from Incognito, Söhne Mannheims and Dephazz, and recorded own songs with bands in Germany. He participates in several Jazz projects in Germany and Switzerland, with which he puts on his vocal cascades. Joerg was a founding member of “Cracks in the Shell” and has been a permanent singer in the group ever since. www.cracksintheshell.ch

Julian Moreen – keyboards, vocals

Already at the age of 17, Julian won a first price at the youth jazz competition in Germany and frequently performed in Germany and Switzerland afterwards. Similarly, he studied pop and musical singing at the vocal academy Voicelab. When he was awarded a scholarship from Berklee College of Music, he moved to the USA. After five years in Boston and New York, he went on his first Asian tour, performing 22 shows in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. A year later, Julian was invited to a mainstage performance at Taichung Jazz Festival in front of 50 000 people. He now splits his time between Germany and Taiwan. Rolf Mosele – guitars

After his studies at the Jazzschool Berne, Rolf moved to Mozambique, became a fan of African Music, and met with Nilsa, with whom he produced 4 records. He teaches guitar at music schools in Switzerland, and has played with several well-known bands in Europe, e.g. Polo Hofer, Büne Huber, Funky Brotherhood, Sina and others. He is also a co-author of children’s songs. www.nilsamusic.ch

Peter Koerfgen – e-Bass, vocals

He grew up in a family of classical musicians, but got infected very early by the music of the Stones, Police/Sting, Stuff, Toto, Al Jarreau and others. He has played in various bands and performed with Lost & Found in Switzerland, the Virgil Ellis Band in South Africa, and many more in Spain, France, Germany and Greece. Peter founded “Cracks in the Shell” in 2014, and since 2009, has been further developing his skills at the Jazzschool Basel, alongside his work as a composer with his teacher André Buser. www.cracksintheshell.ch

Vic Hardt – drums

Vic is hands down one of the most inspiring drummers. He teaches at the Basel Jazz School, has played in countless Jazz, Funk, Fusion and Rock productions in Europe and the USA, and has also worked with the Symphony Orchestra and at the Basel Theater. He has played with outstanding musicians like The George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band, and in numerous studio productions, in theaters, radio and on tv broadcasts. Alberto Garcia Navarro – percussion

Alberto was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria into a family of musicians. There, he studied Classical Percussion at the Conservatory of Music. In 2017 he finished his Master of Arts in Basel. Alberto has performed in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, where he has shared the stage with such international artists as Jorge Rossy, Adrian Mears and Marc Turner, and recorded with Gerson Galvan, Gerry Lopéz and Guillermo Klein, to name a few. Alberto can also be heard with “Picason”, a leading Salsa-Band in Europe. He works as a teacher, composes, conducts and produces personal projects and albums. www.albertogarciamusic.com/home
